The leaf being wrapped in 3/16ths inch H lead came

The came is fitted to the leaf's shape.

The finished pieces are placed next to each other joined within the edges of the came.

Pieces are held in place with horseshoe nails which are four sided to provide a secure grip.

Wrapping in Lead Came

Each pane of glass is wrapped in H lead came and then fitted to the adjoining panes. The came used in this layer of the panel is 3/16ths inch round H lead came. Individual panes must fit to within 1/16th of an inch. As the panes are wrapped and fitted, they are held in place with horse shoe nails driven into the work table.

Here the top of the grapevine trellis has been completed and is held in place with horseshoe nails.
