Cabinets: Old World Glass with a Classic Design

An interior designer, this client wanted glass faced cabinet doors that would showcase her fine tableware in her kitchen. The open quality of the main floor of her townhome needed a repeated motif that would unify the rooms. We incorporated the organic motif stenciled onto the walls of the foyer into the full length front sidelight and then into the four cabinets in the kitchen which are visible from the foyer.

The chosen glass is St. Juste clear craquelle. It is a European glass which is mouth blown and hand rolled in the traditional methods of the old world glass artists. It's cracked texture allows the visitor to view the fine glassware in the cabinets, and also gives the sparkle and light of clear glass to the whole room.
